-slowly now-

Searching for memories, finding musted up dreams,
shriveled and forgotten in corners that smell of sulfer.
Thick, black, tar-like creatures gliding
across each corner of my perception.

i begin walking in circles around the rooms of my submerged mind,
finding diziness to be a comfort,
and forgetting what i was looking for in the first place.
My head hangs down, not in shame but in weight.
The words pyramid inside, with no help of aliens;

but, little green men nonetheless.

Listing to one side or the other,
swaying as if feathers falling in a warm gentle breeze,
while wind gusts exceed any scales deep inside the core.
